Ivy is a senior at JJ Pearce High School and will be graduating within the month! I know she and her class-mates are all excited to see this school year come to a close. This has been a tremendous year for all of the seniors in the Class of 2021 with so many restrictions they have had to comply with for safety reasons. It is so nice that things are opening back up and this class can finish out their year with an abundance of renewed hope for the future.
Speaking of future, Ivy’s future plans have her headed to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas! There, she plans to pursue a major in Criminal Justice. Wow! I love to hear what my seniors are planning to study and what their passion is. I truly believe that when you have a passion for something, it is placed their for a reason and you should seek it out!
We did a lot of seeking at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum the day of Ivy’s senior portraits. The arboretum offers so many stunning areas to take portraits and the variety is endless. I told Ivy that I think the flowers at Camp House had to have been planted with her in mind as the entire lawn was bordered with the loveliest purple and white beds of pansies I have ever seen. It was the perfect backdrop for her incoming TCU announcement! Ivy and her sweet mom were so fun to be with the day of her session and they were game for anything! We started her session at the fountains opposite the grotto and made our way to the sunken garden with a few stops at the iron gate and finished our session with a few gorgeous images at the koi pond. Those images are rare because the pond is usually filled with little people fascinated by those bright orange koi swimmers!
Ivy and her family are some of the best people I know and I am blessed to call them some of my dearest friends. Ivy, I know you are going to do great things at TCU and beyond. You are a gift and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you!
Enjoy a few of my favorite images from Ivy’s senior session day!

She picked the perfect outfits for her senior photos and purple is definitely her color!
